● HISTORY and BUSINESS ACTIVITIES :
The JTC has been established in 1971 under paid-up capital with JP.Yen
50,000,000.- as authorized customs broker in Japan specializing in
Gemstone and Jewelry import and export.
It has been handling a majority of such import/export to/from Japan for the
past 40 years. It has expanded the scope of business field to include
precious metals, money bills, coins, other valuables and general
merchandise. Now, our job is to extend logistic services of international
transportation, bonded warehouse facilities, customs brokerage, insurance,
etc, which warrant safe and expdeditious deivery of gemstones, jewelry
and other valuables. Also, in current years, we have launched the general
cargo market and getting increase the business of this field.
(1) Customs Brokerage
Licensed by Tokyo Customs, JTC offers custom brokerage service
specializing in import and export of gemtones, jewelry, other valuables,
and general merchandise.
* Hand carry import
Anyone who intends to import the goods into Japan by airfreight or
hand carry must be declare the goods by invoice, and pay duty and/or
tax based on tariff for customs clearance. It would be best to request
the customs officer to bond transfer the goods through airport bond
agent. JTC located at Akihabara where custom clearance is made and
goods picked up, although the pasenger is asked to pay an additional
bond storage charge at air port.
* Hand carry expoprt
If you want to take the goods with you by hand carry on-board aircraft,
you can do so through the service of JTC.
JTC will transport and deposit the goods at the air port bond agent for
your pick up. JTC will advise you how to pick up your goods with full
information.
* Tax drawback
Overseas suppliers who want to import their merchandise and sell in
Japan, but want to request for refund the duty/tax paid at the time of
import for unsold and re-exported items, such as arrangement can be
made through JTC.
In case of requesting tax drawback, Jewelry items and Loose
Gemstones, suppliers must send a copy of invoice to JTC to estimate the
amount of duty/ tax in advance, which must be prepaird together with
handling charge by remittance, also suppliers are kindly asked to ship the
goods through shipping agent consigned to JTC.
Other necesssary information will be provided including refund time by us.
(2) Facilities
JTC offices is equipped with bonded security vaults and inspection rooms
under the supervision of Tokyo customs. The inspection rooms are
usable by the domestic importers to inspect imported goods before
customs clearance as well as by the overseas importers while under bond
without paying duty and /or import tax.
(3) Gems Stone Transaction Venue
Before import customs clearance, buyers are able to inspect, trade,
seperate and reship goods without paying duty and tax at JTC bonded
facilities. Subject toshipper's consent, the goods may be stored at JTC
for necesary customs clerance at a time agreed upon.
(4) Exhibition at the Bonded Warehouse
Exhibition of goods under bond may be arranged for potential buyers to
inspect the goods.
JTC offers consulting, interpretation and insurance services for other
exhibitions and fairs, overseas and domestic, and provided transportaion,
storage and customs clearance services.
(5) International Transportation
In cooperation with leading world freight and regional forwarders,
JTC provide speedy, inexpensive and safe transportaion, door-to-door
throughout our more than 30 overseas operation bases and offer
controlled air and sea freights net work worldwide.
(6) Domestic Transportaion
With fully protected vehicles for security of its own, JTC proviede
domestic transportation service with insurance from/to airport and
door-to-door delivery-in and near Tokyo Metropolitan, and offers
safe and quick transportaion to other regions within Japan through
our sub contractors.
(7) Insurance Brokerage
JTC can arrange for favorable and inexpensive insurance coverage for
your goods through overseas and domestic insurance companies as
their agent.
(1) Additional to above insurance coverage, our experienced staff offers
information regarding to overseas export-import customs clearance
and business behavior.

● JTC NETWORK
JTC network is a door-to.-door delivery service whereby shipments are
being collected from the eporter's office and transported under special security method to the consignees' destination.
The system offers consolidation and deconsolidation of the shipments at the major gateways in order to reduce the transportation costs under logistical control. The system has been approved and recommended by insurance company all over the world.
JTC network system will cover shipments from the major cities in the world
and other major jewelry markets as below to Tokyo and vice versa, and
users will benefit from the following advantages :
(1) Better controlled secured air freight system.
(2) Daily shipments arriving in Tokyo within 48 hours from departure.
(3) Convenient location in Tokyo for customs clearance and pick-up of the
packages or parcels at JTC head office.
(4) Quick release of the consignment through the bank since bank
documents and instructions arrive with the shipment, instead of being
sent by airmail.
(5) Convenient location with suitable facilities for the shipments at JTC in
well equipped and secured offices condition and various equipment.

● EXHIBITIONS AND FAIRS
There are three major fairs in Japan for Jewelry industry during year.
1. International Jewelry Tokyo in January
2. International Jewelry Kobe in May
3. Japan Jewellery Fair (JJF) in August end
Where may overseas suppliers of gemstones and jewelry exhibit their products or participate as visitors and exhibitor, through the arrangement of JTC as one of agents.
Also, there are many private exhibitions and fairs organized by local trade associations and manufacturers which are usually open to limited clients.
If the products can be imported under ATA Carnet, it would be easier without designation of bonded facilities, and security.
Also "Tax Drawback" system available by which the exhibitors can claim
refund of duty/tax paid at the time of import for unsold/re-exported goods
through JTC pre-arrangement.
